Its' closes at 3:00pm & reopens at 8:30am. Therefore, no restrooms but do have filthy, filthy port-a-potties. When it is open, the water fountain has been broken for at least two years. When I stopped their recently the only brochure for the taking was a CT Camping Magazine. They do keep the grounds nice, however, I find it a total embarrassment to the state of CT.
It's an older rest stop. The facility is kinda of has a quaint appeal from back in the day. The are only vending machine drinks and snacks. It's all kept very clean. The grounds are attractive and well landscaped.
Pretty trees. The modern plumbing is closed after 3:30 p.m. until, I think 8:30 a.m. Instead, portable johns are available a short walk away. I guess the building staff must be there to open the modern indoor area.Behind the building are picnic tables. New England stone walls near by.
Not impressive just because its summer and its the weekend and the visitor center is closed. Id like to have a map of Connecticut but instead there is a rack of advertisements for local area places. Nice picnic area and clean restrooms. Cool rock stack formations or sculptures. Hmm. Wish I could have asked about them.
