One of best stops in Danbury, very nice , knowledgeable folks! You can always tell when peeps enjoy what they do.
Fond memories of coming here as an elementary school student. Now my daughter was inducted into the National History Honor Society there!
A great local museum showcasing the history of Danbury and its local neighbors.
The history part is nice, but there does not seem to be much effort to drive traffic to the location, and seems mostly a forgotten spot in downtown. My wife paid a lot to have a table there for the holiday craft sale, and did not even make the fee back, because there were almost no visitors. Could be much better with more marketing and new exhibits or regular events. The people are nice though.
Good Morning, I was happily employed here one summer, entering archives into the libraries card catalog, exceptionally, courteous staff, above and beyond practically achievable recognition, very useful research available including the Marion Anderson original studio a local hero, the first African American to be invited to perform at the Opera House, old schools, coupled with an intimidating portrait of the honorable George Washington, great, safe atmosphere for kids or adults looking to research. Volunteers needed for the general public interaction and communication, no experience necessary. , thanks
