It was a good experience going in on my private jet
Currently fly out of DXR twice a month & find the tower uniformity helpful. Make sure to remember this class C airport has a non standard 6 mile airspace so call in a tad earlier than standard. Airport is not visible from the south & runway 35 is a bit unusual as you thread your way thru hills on either side of the last mile of the final.
I learned to fly here and have done most of my flying out of here. The folks in the tower are among the best I've worked with.
If you're a student pilot, you might not want to choose Danbury to land at for cross country work unless you're solid on the approach numbers. Coming in fast will make your landings too long for touch and go's.
